Hi, I’m Tina Carter and I am a qualified Level 3 Advanced Traditional Pilates instructor.

I like to teach a general class that everyone can benefit from, giving adaptations for each exercise so you can adapt a move to your particular needs.   We are all different and we feel different everyday, so I feel it’s important to adapt the class to how the client is feeling on that particular day. After many years of teaching and learning from my clients in every class, I feel confident that I can offer you the many benefits Pilates can bring with little expenditure and time.

” I’m 61 and have been following Tina’s classes twice a week online since my Health Club first went on lockdown in March. I haven’t bothered returning to the club because I find Tina’s classes infinitely more effective. I don’t intend to go back.

I suffer with postural stiffness- probably from tension and being overweight- and pelvic floor problems. If I keep my twice-weekly schedule, I don’t have problems with either and feel great. Both posture and breathing is hugely improved after each session.

Tina explains clearly and graduates any exercise that might be difficult so you can go at your own pace and the classes are in half hour “chunks”, so there’s no excuse for not following them! Everyone can find half an hour! I do the Pilates on a soft skin rug on a carpeted surface because my bones hurt in my hips and knees and I actually look forward to the classes, which is a lifetime first for me! Not only can you do them without the sometimes-embarrassing presence of others, there is enough information given to correct any incorrect moves; Tina also suggests good exercises to follow thoughout the day for different bodily issues. She is excellent at intuitively understanding the problems us older people might encounter in exercise and pre-empts them as you go-explaining what you need to do just at the moment you flag!

I recommend the classes wholeheartedly -they are addictive. “
